During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your concerns and relevant medical history
- Conduct a thorough assessment of your entire body to find the cause of your problem
- Diagnose your injury and explain to you the cause, the prognosis, what you need to do and how we can help you achieve your recovery in the shortest period of time
- Commence treatment to get you feeling better sooner
- Teach you appropriate exercises to maintain your improvement
- Advise you the things you need to do to assist in your recovery
- By the end of your session you will understand what needs to be done to facilitate your recovery and be comforted that you are in great hands!
Do I need to see my General Practitioner/Doctor to obtain a referral?
In most instances, you will not need a referral as we are highly qualified in assessing your concerns and identifying the relevant discipline for your problem. Our specialty is diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions and we can quickly identify problems that require other disciplines if needed.
If you are a DVA, EPC, WorkCover or Compulsory Third Party client, then you will need a referral from your GP in order to satisfy those compensable bodies.
Can I obtain a Medical Certificate for my work/school?
Yes you can. Physiotherapists can provide medical certificates which are legally valid.
What should I wear/bring to my consultation?
You should wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the body part that you are concerned about. That may include shorts, track suit pants, tank tops etc.
For massage clients, please wear loose clothing that allows easy exposure to the areas you would like to be massaged. You will be semi-clothed but well covered with towels and treated with utmost respect at all times.
If you are a DVA, EPC, WorkCover or Compulsory Third Party client, please bring your referral and relevant paperwork/investigations.
Can I claim from my health insurance at your clinic?
Yes you can, as long as you have 'extras' cover. The amount your insurance company pays is dependent on your individual policy. If you would like to find out how much out how much your insurance covers, it would be best for you to call your private health insurance provider to discuss this.
What methods of payment are available?
We accept cash, credit card and EFTPOS. We provide on the spot claiming through HICAPS which allows us to claim directly from your health insurance company. Depending on your level of cover, a gap payment may be required.
Please note: All payment is required on the day of treatment.
We take AMEX.
